Are there different kind of appeals?

In general, yes. There is a Purchase Appeal and an Annual Appeal.

What is a Purchase Appeal?

Anyone who has purchased a home in the last two years. The amount of information required by the counties is significantly less (no comps) thus our systems can tell you instantly if you are eligible for savings.

Can I file a Purchase Appeal at any time of the year?

In most counties the answer is yes. Some counties require all appeals to be submitted in their respective township window.

What is an Annual Appeal?

Anyone who has lived in their home for more than two years. In this case the counties require much more information (applications, 25 characteristics of your house, comparable home sales etc.). This form of appeal requires much more time (from our end NOT yours). That is why we ask for one business day to get back to you if you are eligible for savings.

When can I file an Annual Appeal?

You can only file an Annual Appeal during the “window” each county/township publishes. Trust us, they don’t publish this well so let TaxHound do all the work for you!

Do you charge to find out the results online?

We do not charge you to find if you have savings on the Purchase or Annual appeal. We only charge you if you have savings and ask us to submit on your behalf.

What is the cost?

We charge 25% of the savings.

What if the savings you projected do not materialize?

Taxhound offers a 100% money back guarantee. If we project you will save $2,000 and you only save $1,500 we will refund you the difference of the 25% on the $500 ($125). If for some odd reason the county outright rejects our appeal and there are no savings we will refund the fee amount we charged you. Plain and simple.
